Louis Gossett, Jr. (Grandpa George Wright in the movie) along with Betty and her husband, William. Gossett, whose stellar career has endeared him to fans worldwide, is one of a select group of actors to win both an Academy Award and an Emmy Award. He is best known for his Academy Award-winning performance in the film classic, An Officer and a Gentleman and an Emmy for his role as Fiddler in the historic TV miniseries "Roots."

Betty is pictured here interviewing lead actor Michael Joiner (Mac McDonald in the movie.) When Mac loses his son in an accident, the ensuing 17 years of bitterness and pain erodes his love for his family and leaves him angry with God ... and just about everyone else. Mac's rage stonewalls his career in the police department and makes for a combustible situation when he's partnered with Sam Wright, a rising star on the force who happens to be a part-time pastor and a loving family man.

Betty is pictured here interviewing the second lead actor Michael Higgenbottom (Sam Wright in the movie.) Sam also never expected to be a police officer. He has a calling—to be a minister like his Grandpa George. But leading a small, start-up church doesn't always put enough food on the table for a young family, so Sam doubles as a police officer. With his new promotion to Sergeant, Sam starts questioning if his real calling might actually be police work rather than the pastorate. Can Mac and Sam somehow join forces to help one another when it's impossible for either of them to look past their differences—especially the most obvious one?

Gloria Estefan (singer, songwriter, actress, and entreprenauer) Her song, Abriendo Puertas, was used in the movie. Gloria is in billboard magazine's top 100 best selling musical artists and is the most successful crossover performer to date with an estimated 100 million records sold worldwide.

Dr. David Evans, director and executive producer. While THE GRACE CARD marks David Evans' first foray into filmmaking, his role as director and executive producer is one he has been preparing for most of his life. A doctor of optometry by profession, he has passionately been involved with creative endeavors since he began making homemade films at the age of 12. David began acting in junior high school, and produced a number of large-scale productions and events while earning his undergraduate degree at Southwest Baptist University. Since 1994, David has overseen the annual Easter passion play at Calvary Church in Cordova, Tennessee. David developed a unique way of presenting the life of Jesus by crafting modern-day tales that parallel the story of Christ. This requires a new script and new characters each year. These days, the production includes a cast and crew of more than 250 people, along with huge sets, hydraulic lifts, computerized lighting, and exotic animals. It takes three months to assemble the staging and complete the choreography required for the performances. THE GRACE CARD began as the script for one of Cavalry's passion plays. Inspired by Sherwood Pictures' FIREPROOF, David worked with veteran screenwriter Howie Klausner to create a script that David and his Graceworks Pictures team then filmed in 30 days in Memphis.

Brandi is currently a reporter/weekend anchor for Raycom Media - KAIT Region 8 News. Prior to founding Visions Promotional Agency in 2009, Kartriece worked as a freelance marketing consultant and graphic designer.

Betty and Ruby Wilson on the red carpet. Wilson is the undisputed Queen of Beale Street, a Memphis legend who has taken the Delta blues and her powerful, emotional, unforgettable voice worldwide. When she's in Memphis, she often holds shows at B.B. King's, the epicenter of nightclub entertainment in the Mid-South. When she's out of town, she might be singing at the White House, or at a renowned jazz club in Switzerland, or on a luxury cruise in Asia.

Betty and Esther Evans (Wife of Dr. David Evans) A newcomer to the movie business, she served as executive producer of THE GRACE CARD. A ballet dancer for 15 years, Esther has served as the choreographer for Calvary Church's The Passion Play pageants. Esther has been in the eye care business for more than 25 years. She is the administrator for Total Eye Care, PA in Memphis and is involved in recommendations for patients that require specialty vision correction. Esther has volunteered with the World Cataract Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to eliminate cataract blindness in many parts of the world. She has served as a translator for surgeons on trips to Mexico and Cuba.

Betty and Joy Moore (Sara McDonald in the movie) Joy had no classical preparation for her first film role as Mac's wife Sara in THE GRACE CARD. With a degree in Elementary Education from Mid-America Nazarene University, she has been an elementary school teacher in the Memphis area and a children's minister at a church in Alabama. Joy began to realize a serious interest in acting and pursued it through multiple stage roles at Calvary Church in Cordova, Tennessee where she and her family have attended for 14 years. She has also directed smaller stage productions for adults and children.

Betty and Cindy Hodge (Dr. Vines in the movie) Although Cindy is new to film, acting has been part of her life since her days at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville. In addition to extensive community theater work, Cindy has landed a number of voiceover roles. These include character voices for Man Of Destiny by Mosie Lister, narration on Life Of Christ by David T. Clydesdale, and Dramatization of the Old Testament: King James Version Of The Bible for the World Bible Society. Cindy has also been the voice for industrial and training materials.

Betty and Rob Erickson (Blake McDonald in the movie) An accomplished musician (and trumpet-playing member of the University of Memphis' "Mighty Sound of the South Marching Band") THE GRACE CARD is Erickson's first acting experience. Encouraged by a friend to audition, Rob saw the role as a ministry opportunity to share God's message of grace and forgiveness. In addition to the trumpet, Rob also plays the piano, guitar, bass guitar, and other brass instruments. He also enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee, swimming, and backpacking—he's a veteran of more than 100 miles of Appalachian Trail hiking.
